We are pleased to announce that Dr. George McRobie has been made a patron of the Sir Andrew Macphail Homestead.
Each year we plan to have a Guest Lecturer for the “Annual George McRobie Lecture Series”. So far we have been honored to host Mr. Patrick Holden, all the way from Wales, who spoke on sustainable small-scale farming, and Mark Lapping, from Maine, U.S. DVD’s of both lectures are available for sale ($10.00) from the Homestead.
The Board has decided to partner with Community organizations such as Antique Tractor Association and 4-H clubs, as well as with Orwell Corner, from time to time. Time constraints prevent us from building the Farm right now.
Harry Baglole, Richard MacEwen, and KarenĀ Murchison are members of the Sir Andrew Macphail Foundation Board of Directors. This trio will form the Farm/Garden Committee to oversee and arrange partnerships for this endeavor.
